About my header

My shed is my header by my son Darrell, He painted the Robin for me and said that it reminded him of me. Because Robins use other birds nest and if there is an egg in it, they will take care of it just like its their own. He said thats what I do, I have always taken care of others in need of a home when I come across someone in need. Isnt that Sweet, I had told him I wanted a bird and this is the one he chose. Robins have solid blue eggs which are the symbols for him and his brothers and the speckled egg are the others I have taken into my home. It was very touching to me because he researched his piece, He is a true artist and has lots of great jobs. my neighbor had hers done to

8/7/2014 update
Hi all,
We don't have a full group for the charm swap. I need 4 more spots filled - are any of you interested in signing up for a second spot? It would require purchasing 2 yards instead of just one, and you'd receive 84 charms back instead of 42.

Anyone interested?

Thanks!

SIMPLESEW LOVE PLUS QUILT

My Goal for June was to complete  Jeni Bakerincolororder Modern Plus Quilt. With the Help of Family, We Came together for each other during a time of need, and it worked out beautifully.

We used Lark By Amy Butler and added a Few other fabrics as we designed it. I will let most of the Pictures Show the Work.

This is Smokey, I am not a Cat Person, but he is my Aunts Cat and he is sweet and as our animals do they Help and love unconditional.

This is my Aunt Lela, we have so much fun and share so much love working together, she Quilted it using stitching in the Ditch.

My Cousin Shelby whom we are teaching made the tag for it, first time FMQ.

She also made these applique girls, they are the 2 cousins. The quilt was for Amy and they are also bestfriends. I showed Shelby How to make these using Belivemagic by Carrie Payne process and the girls loved it so they taught Amy. Carrie is an artist that blogs and is published in Stampington and Sew. She will love this.

You can feel the texture Here.. on the back

The entire Quilt finished at about 56 x 64 I had and emergency and had to leave as I said we All had a Crisis going on and we came together as a Family and Made a Quilt and Learned something.

This has turned into a total love story and a personal one, not sharing details, but this Quilt is what a Quilt is made of.

Mosaic challenge and InLinkz Challenge with a Prize

I am playing the Mosaic game with Stitched in Color by Rachel sponsored by FABRIC SPOT CANADA BASE ONLINE SHOP. What you do is make a Mosaic Color Design using Huge labs mosaic online tool.
What you DO: copy and pasting image url's from Fabric Spot.  To find url's first go to the item page on Fabric shop, then right click on the image you want and choose "copy image URL". Then you add the image using 12 fabric images,( I didnt read this carefully first.)

I dont play online games like Candy Crush my friends are bombing me with. I thought this would be fun, at first it was a challenge. You dont have to blog about it, you can post it on Stitched in Color's   InLinkz . See her Blog post for more details. I am going to post some more fabric choices on my blocks, this is what I started with. , There is a Giveaway so why not Play. These are just my beginning fabric choices.

I am dreaming up a Grandson Quilt and in this image I am using a white Linen, I always use some linen in my projects and see the blue Moda weave. I also love Fabric Elements, I want the Whale to mature here using shapes and color.

I finally did it.. I made a block of 12. The trick is to open the links to the 2 websites Big Huge Labs and Fabric Spot. Now I want to work on my design block..

Sara Lawson SewSweetness  is having a Block design Challenge for her new line of fabrics, See her blog for details. The block can be hand written great for my busy complicated life right now. I have completed  a mock up I will work on and do a post when finished.

I finished the Briar Rose Fabric challenge with Quilted Sandwich  They will blog the challenge and let me know when. Does this look like a Strawberry? I want to write a pattern for this and my first tutorial. After I see the reviews. I would appreciate your opinion.
I have so much more to tell you but so little time.
Have a sweet day..
Love from SimpleSew and Baby Carolina.

Also my Princess.. with Mrs. Whitney, Mrs Texas..
